FINANCIAL EDUCATION GROUNDED IN REAL LIFE
Hi, I’m Ronn Yaish
I created Balanced Financial Life to help people approach money decisions with more clarity, context, and confidence. My role here is that of a financial educator, writer, and curator of useful financial tools and services.
The idea behind this site began long before the website itself. While working in a youth organization during college, I learned that meaningful change starts with listening, understanding what matters to a person, and turning large goals into manageable steps. A Franklin Covey workshop later gave me a practical framework for connecting daily decisions with personal values. That lesson stayed with me: balance is not about doing everything at once; it is about giving the right attention to the things you need, want, and value.
Why Balanced Financial Life exists
Personal finance is rarely one-size-fits-all. Rules, deadlines, and numbers matter, but so do a person’s responsibilities, experience, priorities, and temperament. This site brings those sides together: reliable information, practical processes, and questions that help readers consider how a decision fits into the rest of life.
The goal is not to manufacture urgency or promise a perfect financial future. It is to help you understand your options, prepare better questions, and identify a sensible next step.
The principles behind the work
Change comes in manageable steps
Large financial goals become more approachable when they are translated into specific actions. Small progress can create momentum without making the process overwhelming.
Begin with the destination
Useful planning starts with two questions: Where am I today, and where do I want to be? A clear direction makes it easier to evaluate the choices in between.
Knowledge should be practical
Information has value when it helps someone recognize options, understand tradeoffs, meet responsibilities, or have a better conversation with the right professional.
Editorial promise
Balanced Financial Life aims to be clear about what is fact, what is general guidance, and what may depend on individual circumstances. Sponsored and affiliate relationships are disclosed, corrections are welcomed, and educational material is kept separate from individualized advice.
